About Us At Tierney Strachan we provide process control & safety system engineering services. This includes the provision of new systems as well as providing support and modifications to existing systems. Our systems are largely based on Emerson’s DeltaV equipment, and a range of PLC systems including Allen-Bradley, Schneider and Siemens. We supply systems for topside production control, subsea control; telemetry and remote monitoring. Our cabinet and electrical assembly are all carried out in-house to IPC standards. We have a significant track record of supply to major energy companies. We are also at the frontend of the energy transition, manufacturing electrical equipment for an EV charging Company.
Position Materials Coordinator
Job Description Summary Assisting in the procurement and workshop processes:
  • Assist the supply chain Lead by placing orders on suppliers, expediting materials and monitoring outstanding orders on a regular basis
  • Responsible for Goods-In process
  • Responsible for processing accepted goods following QA inspection
  • Ensuring appropriate stock levels are controlled
  • Accountable for all stock movements within the company
  • Plan and control deliveries - ensuring goods are delivered on time to client
  • Kit up parts for manufacturing according to pick lists/Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and resolve discrepancies
  • Responsible for preparing and packaging items for shipment internationally and within UK with associated delivery documentation
  • Updating bill of materials
  • Ad hoc local collection and delivery of parts
  • Assist with other department requirements as directed by manager

Skills Candidates must have the following:
  • Full driving licence
  • Strongly computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a similar role; or in the assembly/test/handling of electronic equipment
